Local musician Ronald Mayinja has advised Uganda to vote for President Museveni in the upcoming 2021 elections, saying is the answer to the country’s problems.

KEY POINTS

  • Mayinja tells Uganda that Museveni is the answer to Uganda’s problems.
  • On the same day, Mayinja vowed never to support the NRM party again.

Mayinja’s comments have been followed by a series of changes between political parties at a time when sections of Uganda have already described the musician as a political prostitute.

Not long ago, the musician announced that he had pushed the NRM party in support of Bobi Wine to side with the National Unity Platform (NUP).

Members of the NUP party gave him a warm welcome at their party headquarters in Kamwokya and presented him with a party card confirming his full membership.

On the same day, Mayinja vowed never to support the NRM party again. However, on Thursday the shameless musician released a campaign song called Akalulu for Museveni, expressing his strong love for him and what he has done for the country over the years.

This later led to a section of opposition supporters treating the musician as a prostitute, only after he had money, not political change.

However, when responding to critics, Mayinja rushed to social media to tell everyone the stories of pain and sadness that make them love others and live differently.

Museveni has done a lot of good things for the country and as a result, he said he is committed to voting for him as president at least until 2040.

“Everyone has unspoken stories of pain and sadness that they love and live a little differently than you do. Stop judging and try to understand,” an excerpt from Mayinja’s statement read.

“I am for Museveni in 2021. He has done many good things for our country. I will vote for him till 2040. He has got the vision for this country.”

Mayinja also said the NUP was a party for thugs and cannabis people with limited knowledge of politics. He said they were making noise and killing innocent civilians.

The NUP as a party is ineligible for any leadership positions in the country because they belong to the ruling party, the NRM.

“Museveni is the only man who can bring prosperity to Uganda, he can change the lives of civilians, not these savages and cannabis people who have no knowledge of leadership. The NUP is making noise and killing innocent people. They are actually more dangerous than Museveni.”

“They are unfit for any leadership position in Uganda. They are too confusing and too murderous to manage the affairs of this country. They are too harsh and intolerant. Do not vote for them Bambi. Our country needs Museveni, he’s the answer to Uganda’s problems,” he added.
