KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — On Saturday, the 2022 NAACP Image Awards, which honor people of color’s achievements in culture and entertainment, were held, and here is the complete list of winners.

- It featured performances by Mary J. Blige, Issa Rae, Kerry Washington, LL Cool J.
- Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are both slated to receive the President’s Award.
Jennifer Hudson won both the awards for “Outstanding actress in a motion picture” and “Entertainer of the Year” at the NAACP Image Awards 2022 for her performance as Aretha Franklin in the film “Respect.”
Additionally, the NAACP Image Awards 2022 announced winners for some of the more than 80 categories in virtual ceremonies throughout the week. Regina King, Kevin Hart, and Taraji P. Henson were among the icons recognized pre-telecast.
Mary J. Blige performed on the show, and other guests included Issa Rae, Kerry Washington, LL Cool J, Samuel L. Jackson, Tiffany Haddish, Zendaya, and more.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will receive the President’s Award in recognition of their special achievement and distinguished public service at this year’s NAACP Image Awards.
