Nigerian broadcaster Dadaboy Ehiz has been announced as host of Apple Music 1’s Africa Now Radio, launching on the streaming platform on 10 June.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — In a surprise announcement, Nigerian broadcaster Dadaboy Ehiz has been named the new host of Apple Music 1’s Africa Now Radio, which will begin streaming on the platform on 10 June.
A mix of traditional and contemporary sounds from the continent are featured on Africa Now Radio, which launched on Apple Music 1 in 2020.
Nigerian DJ and music producer Cuppy hosted the show in 2020, and LootLove took over in 2021.
Africa Now playlist will continue to be reflected in the ‘Africa Now Radio’ program with Dadaboy Ehiz, which features the latest sounds of Africa, such as amapiano, Afrobeats, highlife, Afro-house, hip hop and bongo flava, among others.

Known as Dadaboy Ehiz, Ehizojie Okeoguale grew up in Lagos and launched his media career while studying at Lead City University in Ibadan.
Dadaboy Ehiz was a winner of the MTV Base VJ Search in 2013 and has since worked for brands including Heineken, Coca-Cola, and Smirnoff.
Dadaboy Ehiz is also the creator of Dadaboy TV and The Dadaboy Show, which are platforms to bring together millennials and generations X and Z through open, honest conversations with accomplished individuals in the creative industry.
During its two-year run, Apple Music 1’s ‘Africa Now Radio’ has interviewed some of Africa’s most popular musicians, including Davido, Tems, DJ Maphorisa, CKay, Black Coffee, Omah Lay, and Mr Eazi, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Angélique Kidjo, and Asa.
