Ugandan pop star Sheebah Karungi has announced her return to the stage, confirming a comeback concert set for August following a seven-month hiatus from the music scene.
The singer, known to fans as the “Karma Queen”, stepped away from the limelight in late 2024, shortly after her last major performance at the Neyanziza Concert held at Lugogo Cricket Oval. That show, which drew thousands, also marked a personal milestone—Sheebah revealed her pregnancy to fans and formally announced her break from public appearances.
During her time away, Sheebah was based in Canada, where she welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Amir. She has not released new music or made public appearances in Uganda since.
Now, the 35-year-old has confirmed her comeback concert, titled “The Return of the Queen”, scheduled for 22 August 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel. The announcement was made via her official social media platforms, where she shared a promotional poster for the event.

Details on ticketing and supporting acts are yet to be released.
The news has been met with excitement from fans and fellow musicians alike. Singer Karole Kasita responded, “The speed is real,” while media personality Anita Fabiola commented, “Can’t wait.”
The announcement sets up a busy end to August on the local entertainment calendar. Just a week after Sheebah’s show, fellow artist Cindy Sanyu—often seen as her long-time rival—is also due to perform, with Dax Vibez sharing the same date.
Sheebah’s return is expected to dominate conversation in the coming weeks, as fans await new music and a full comeback programme.
