Priscilla Zawedde alias Azawi, the fastest rising talented artist in Swangz Avenue, has announced the date and venue for her premier African Music Concert set for next month.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — Priscilla Zawedde alias Azawi, the fastest rising female artist in Uganda who has a tremendous GRAMMY appeal, has announced the dates and venue of her upcoming debut show, ‘African Music Concert’, set for next month.
In announcing this concert, Azawi joins a growing list of musicians planning to mark their music journeys before 2022 ends. Azawi’s ‘African Music Concert‘ came just days after Sheebah Karungi announced her biggest concert of the year for the 9TH of December at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Additionally, Sheebah Karungi said she will celebrate the journey, strength, patience and consistency in the 2022 concert, as well as her fans’ enduring love for her.
Azawi’s music journey
Since the release of her debut album ‘African music’ in 2021, Azawi has never looked back as she was welcomed by music lovers within and outside the country.
As the follow-up to the 2020 EP ‘LoFit’, the 16-track project was released on October 9, 2021, through Swangz Avenue Management, a record label in Uganda.
Top Ugandan artists including Fik Fameica, A Pass, Eddy Kenzo, and more contributed to the album.
As a result of the success of the album in Uganda and beyond, Azawi was featured on the Times Square billboard in New York as part of the #YouTubeBlack Voices Music Class of 2022.
With the Times Square Billboard feature, Azawi joins major hit makers like Eddy Kenzo, Bobi Wine, and Spice Diana who have all had their projects featured.
In less than a month, Azawi will perform at her maiden concert, and she has promised to bring only positive vibes, a party mood, and no bad vibes.
Awazi, through her social media platforms, announced that she anticipates combining her three years of hard work into an evening of magic.
“Azawi African Music Concert” will be held at the Lugogo Cricket Oval on 22nd July 2022, following the success of the 16 track album of African music.
