Walgreens has a return policy that will allow you to get a refund if you’re not satisfied with the products you purchased.
KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA ( http://lifestyleuganda.com/) — What is the Walgreens return policy? If you are not satisfied with the product you bought at Walgreens, the store has a return policy that will help you get your money back. However, there are some exceptions.
For example, if you bought a prescription that you do not want to take, you can still return it.
Unopened items
Walgreens offers an easy return policy for unused items purchased in-store. You can return your unopened items to any Walgreens or Duane Reade store. Just remember to bring your receipt with you to be eligible for a refund.
You can also return medical devices or medicines purchased in-store. To get a refund, you must present a valid photo ID and the original receipt.
If you purchased a product online, you can return it for a refund within 30 days of purchase. To return the item in store, you must present a receipt or copy of the invoice.
If you do not have the receipt, Walgreens will return the item at the lowest advertised price. You will receive a store credit, less the cost of shipping.
When you return an unopened item in-store, you must include a valid photo ID. Walgreens store managers reserve the right to refuse the return if you do not provide proof of purchase.
In addition to items that can be returned at Walgreens stores, you can also return cosmetics and electronic items.
This policy is similar to that for unopened items, but the store manager must approve the return. If you don’t have a receipt, you may be eligible for a gift card instead.
Prescriptions
Walgreens has a return policy for prescriptions. If you purchase a prescription and do not receive the medication you ordered, you can return it for a full refund within 30 days.
However, you must have the original receipt to receive a full refund. Moreover, you must provide a valid photo identification to receive the refund. If you do not have a receipt, you can request a refund in the form of a gift card.
You can return a prescription within 30 days after purchase as long as you do not open it. However, Walgreens does not accept returns for prescriptions that have been picked up in the store.
This policy does not apply to OTCs. However, you can return OTCs for a refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase if you do not want to continue using them. If you want a refund on a prescription, contact Walgreens and request a return authorization.
If you are unsure whether or not you can return a prescription, read the receipt carefully before you make a return. Walgreens will give you store credit if the item is not as you expected. However, if you purchase it after noon, you will have to settle for store credit.
After 30 days
Walgreens accepts returns of products within 30 days of purchase. You must provide the original receipt to receive a full refund. You can also exchange products for another item if they are defective or not useful.
If you are unsure about the return policy, check the Walgreens website for further information.
Depending on the item, you may be able to get store credit or get your money back. The policy is time-sensitive. For example, if you buy a product at noon, you can’t return it later than noon because you’ll be offered store credit, not a refund.
Walgreens managers claim that they have no authority to override this rule.
You can also return cosmetics and food items if they are defective or damaged. The manager will review the return request and determine whether it’s worth returning.
In some cases, you may be able to return a product without the tag.
Other exceptions
Walgreens’ return policy allows customers to return items for exchange or store credit for up to 30 days after purchase. However, there are some restrictions that may apply.
For example, customers cannot return cosmetics or open bottles, and they may only exchange an item if the item is defective or damaged.
If you need to return a product, make sure you have a receipt or another form of valid photo ID. If the product does not have a receipt, you will be issued store credit.
Otherwise, you will have to present photo identification to the associate. The only exception to this policy is the purchase of prescriptions or contact lenses.
Other exceptions to Walgreens return policy include items that have been opened. For example, Walgreens will not accept returns on consumable products or personal care products that have already been opened.
However, you can return food and makeup that have not been used, so long as the item is still in its original packaging.
The store manager must approve a return if the item is not defective. Clothing may also be returned if the tags have been removed.
