Jumia Anniversary, the company’s annual campaign, begins today and runs until June 30th. Consumers can enjoy discounts of up to 60% off on both the app and the web.
According to Ron Kawamara, Jumia Uganda CEO, the theme of this year’s Jumia Anniversary is to celebrate every day, so we have guaranteed our customers get the best prices on everyday items, from groceries to clothing and household appliances.
In addition, he said, “This is an unprecedented time for us; as lockdown measures are being enforced, we want our customers to trust that we will deliver essential everyday products safely to their doorsteps wherever they might be.”
During the course of the campaign, consumers can expect discounts on Jumia Food’s platform as well, including Buy One Get One Free offer on some of their favorite restaurants, including Food Hub, Mr Tasty, and more, as well as free delivery on select offers.
Jumia will be offering discounts on essential items, including sugar at 3,000 UGX and face masks at 7,000 UGX, for its anniversary.
There will be special offers that will help ease the process for those who will study & work from home; these include a laptop starting at 862,000 UGX and hard drives among other discounts.
As part of its anniversary, Jumia will also offer contests and giveaways, including a prize of an iPhone XS at 2,850 UGX as part of a treasure hunt.

With COVID-19’s second wave hitting Uganda and a new transportation shutdown enacted, e-commerce and online shopping platforms play a huge role in ensuring the supply chain between vendors and consumers continues to survive and thrive while maintaining the safety of all stakeholders.
Customers that choose to do business with Jumia will have the option to opt for cashless safe delivery, which has been implemented through Mobile Money, along with other cashless payment methods.
